Safety Systems Inspection
- Test smoke detectors and replace 9V batteries if low chirping
- Test carbon monoxide detector operation (button test monthly)
- Check fire extinguisher pressure gauge (green zone required)
- Test propane gas detector alarm (should chirp when button pressed)
- Inspect emergency exit windows and ensure latches work properly
- Check first aid kit supplies and replace expired medications
- Test emergency flashlights and replace batteries as needed
Mechanical & Structural Check
- Walk entire roof checking seals, caulking, and antenna mounting
- Check tire condition, pressure, and tread wear (including spare)
- Inspect wheel bearings for grease leaks or unusual wear
- Lubricate slide-out mechanisms and inspect rubber seals
- Check hitch components, ball mount, and safety chains for wear
- Inspect suspension components, shocks, and stabilizer bars
- Test electric trailer brakes and brake controller operation
Systems Maintenance
- Check and clean air conditioning filters (monthly during use)
- Test all GFCI outlets and circuit breakers for proper operation
- Check battery water levels and clean terminals (if not maintenance-free)
- Inspect all plumbing connections under sinks for leaks
- Clean refrigerator coils and check operation on both power sources
- Test generator operation and check oil, fuel, and air filter
- Verify propane tank levels and check connections for leaks
