Initial Inspection & Cleanup
- Remove RV cover carefully and inspect for winter damage
- Check exterior seals, caulking, and roof condition thoroughly
- Inspect tires for cracks, flat spots, and proper pressure
- Look for pest damage or intrusion signs (droppings, nests)
- Check awning fabric and mechanism operation (winter damage?)
- Test all exterior lights and electrical connections
- Clean interior thoroughly and check for moisture damage or mold
Water System Restoration
- Flush ALL antifreeze from entire water system thoroughly
- Sanitize fresh water tank with bleach solution (1/4 cup per 15 gallons)
- Replace all water filter cartridges with fresh ones
- Check water pump operation and prime if needed
- Test all faucets, shower, and toilet for proper operation and leaks
- Fill and test water heater operation (check for leaks around tank)
- Check holding tank valves and dump system operation
Complete Systems Check
- Reinstall house batteries and test charging system operation
- Test all 12V and 120V electrical systems and outlets
- Pressure test propane system for leaks (soapy water test)
- Test refrigerator operation on both electric and propane modes
- Check HVAC system operation and replace air filters
- Test generator operation and check oil, fuel, air filter
- Update emergency supplies and check expiration dates on all items
